Welcome to YMUN on the web.

York MUN is a student run organization at York University dedicated to realizing the goals of the United Nations by sending its delegates to Canadian and International interactive simulations. As part of the Model United Nations experience, students are catapulted into the world of diplomacy and negotiation as they step into the shoes of ambassadors of UN member states to debate current issues on the UN agenda. The outcome of this experience is a generation of concerned and astute global citizens, armed with well-developed critical thinking skills and the ability to approach problems and challenges through a solutions-based methodology.

Awards are handed out to delegates whom best exemplify diplomacy at MUN conferences. Proudly, for many years now, YMUN delegates have continuously shown that they are able to compete at the highest level and have won numerous individual awards over the years for their performances.

This year, the YMUN team is looking forward to attending Canadian, US, and World wide conferences so that our tradition may continue to provide delegates the opportunity to gain insights from their exploration of history, geography, politics, mathematics, culture, economics, and science. I would like to invite any interested parties to contact me and the organization if you have any questions or comments.
